Last night as we sat down for dinner the littlest outstretched her bitty hand, looked me square in the eye, and said, “Grace.”
And for a split second I was frozen. What a gift.
A reminder that that is all this life truly is—a gift of grace. Thank you, little girl, for your simple
gesture that assured me in the midst of this crazy season that we have
grace. And thank you, little girl, for reminding me of— if
nothing else and really, above all else—to be thankful for such a season. As
today busies itself with the looming to do’s of preparing life for a family of
five, I will find rest in knowing that His grace is the sweetest thing in the whole wide
world. Annnnd that our little girls
really do not care if their closet still boasts newborn outfits and has no door
knobs.
This life, all grace.
