Are you one of those who have jumped on the ceramic animal bandwagon? I can say I am a fan. So, when Ona and I stumbled on a dirty, antique pair of horse head lamps this weekend at an auction we stuck around. They were at the end of a table full of glassware. In auction language that meant "forever." So kudos to my little girl for sticking with me. Okay, I may have had to bribe her with some bunny crackers.
The wiring needed to be replaced, so I disassembled them during nap time.
Then today, I picked up
a new wiring kit. That is after finding
this shade in the clearance aisle at Target. It was ticketed at $13.98 and I was stoked. After a meek attempt, I pleaded with my brilliant electrician minded sidekick for help.
Come to find out, the lampshade that I
fell in love with bought was actually for a hanging lamp. Womp, womp. It required drilling a bigger hole in the bottom of the base. Now, our horse head pal is looking like this.
Now, to find another shade. I am thinking complimentary, but not too matchy matchy. Thoughts?
Awesome! Love it, Heather! Have you sent this to young house love? You should...Sherry would love it! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks friend! Haha, I thought of YHL too! May have to somehow do that. ;)
