Two, Artist Book.

Tuesday, August 6, 2013

One of the things I was most excited for after having kids was the moment that they could hold a crayon.  Seriously.  There is something pure, undefiled, and imaginative about kid's art.  Art is one of our favorite activities to do with Ona.
She thinks anything involving paint, glue, glitter, etc. is just the bee's knees.  Okay, this momma does too.  Over the past year Ona had grown quite a collection.  They were begging for a more permanent home.  I love Jan Eleni's collages, but decided that I would rather make a similar collage with artwork of all ages down the road.  Instead, we opted to start a tradition of making a yearly artist book.  It came in the mail on Saturday, just in time for Ona's birthday yesterday.
While I scooped my mushy heart off of the floor, Ona thought it was really neat and kept saying, "Wow momma, wow!"  To be honest though, it is more for her down the road.  A collection of her art from her second year of life.  Maybe she'll show her kids someday?  I really hope so.  That would mean I will be a grandma though.  Let's not think about that quite yet and enjoy the book shall we?
You can see her artist book, Two, page-by-page here.  Most pieces were mommy and/or daddy collaborations.  Each piece (except for two, which were photographed) were scanned in and uploaded as .jpg files.  Love this little artist.
Printed:: Artifact Uprising.  Love them.

  1. That's genius! I wish I would have thought of this. We have piles of art laying around that I'm not sure what to do with.
