Ila's Nursery.

So, I have been meaning to give ya'll a bitty update on Ila's nursery.  Like for a long time.  I took these pictures when I was around thirty-eight weeks pregnant and still waddling around with Miss Ila.  If you remember from this post of yore what the nursery looked like the first time around, it was definitely modern.  The Ikea straight lined frames, modern baby prints, and our beloved name puzzle set the tone for the space.  Our style has definitely evolved over the past two years and the space just didn't seem to fit what we envisioned for our second baby girl.  Ila Florence is such an old name.  When we think of her, we think vintage, peachy, lovely, and plain old fashion.  I mean we heart Ikea, but this description is definitely not up their modern alley.  So, down came the old collage and up went an Ila inspired collection of art pieces.  Throw in a vintage mirror that I snagged before we were married and you've got an updated Ila inspired space.  Here is what it looks like today minus all of the toy madness Hurricane Ona evoked on the space before bed time.  Hello Potty book in the middle of the floor... guilty.
It is amazing how little changes can make such a difference in the feeling of a space.  Oh, and I was nerdy giddy when I saw that Paper Source was selling similar frames to the ones in the collage for nearly $25.00 more than we paid at Marshalls.  Makes this cheap girl feel dang good!  For details on the rest of the space check out this old post.
