It's A Girl.

Thursday, September 27, 2012

Today, we woke up bright and early to find out whether baby numero dos was a boy or a girl.  Kerry had a hunch since the beginning that it was a girl, although, not quite as strong of one as with Ona.  Well, he was totally right (isn't he always, really).
Just as with Ona, we were able to see baby girl in 3D.  Technology can be so awesome.  The highlights- really long legs, huge hands and feet, a super sharp jaw line, and even a peek at her gallbladder (which is weird and rare or so we're told).  We wanted to do something to announce the gender this time around, so after lunch we packed up our camera, tripod, and favorite big sister and headed to a local conservation area.  It was so peaceful and astoundingly gorgeous.  Ona spoiled us with good behavior aka: leaving her bow and shoes on most of the time.  Last night, Kerry and I painted two pie pumpkins-one pink, one blue- and thought that one of them would be a cute, fall-ish type prop.  So the pink one was in tow too.  We also took the opportunity to take some long over due family photos.  Here are our favorites from the day.

Family fun.
Give the baby pumpkin a hug...
And a kiss...

Big sister.
So thankful for a healthy baby and big girl.  Oh, and the totally manly man that makes all this girly goodness come true.
