Kerry's request for Father's Day was to go to the beach for the first time as a family. We actually celebrated on Saturday since he had to work today. We checked out Fontana Beach near Lake Geneva, WI. It was a really pretty area, but Ona wasn't so sure about the waves or the chilly water. In fact, it was really the first time she showed a sense of fear. She just stared at the water and didn't really like her feet getting wet. We got her to giggle a few times, but for the most part she basically held on to us tight. It was still super fun.
Here are a few favorites from the day.
We ended the day with a couple mile walk around Lake Geneva and some delish and free bagels from Boatyard Bagel Co. I tried the Asiago Cheese and Kerry tried the Garlic. Yum. There were a slew of cute shops and yard sale signs along the way that I was drooling over, but it was a dad-gets-to-choose-all-the-activities kind of day. Next time, I tell you.
Hope you all had a wonderful day spent with your dads. Oh, and happiest of Father's Days to our dads too. We love you!
