Over the weekend, we headed north to Wisconsin to Kerry's cousin's wedding. We had so much fun spending time with family that we don't get to see all that often. Plus, this was Ona's first wedding of 2012 and she soaked up all she could. I actually had the privilege of designing+letterpressing an insert card for the bride+groom's sweet handmade wedding invitations.
So, for their wedding gift we wanted to make something special. I stalked Kyah's pinterest board and discovered that they are fans of the blue+yellow combo. So, off to the designing board Illustrator I went and drummed up this for them. I trimmed it down to 8 x 10 and stuck it in a white frame from Target. In the madness of getting ready for the trek, I forgot to take a photo of it framed, but here is the print.
I stole some of their wedding story from their wedding website. Teehee. We had so much fun and danced the night away.
Oh, and on the way to the wedding, my brother-in-law spotted a black bear cub in the distance. Kerry quickly did a 180° and went back for all of us to see. This is as close as I could get with my camera zoom.
What a fun weekend and it isn't over yet. Yay for Memorial Day weekend!
