Well, the ground has thawed and we've been a plowin'! The past handful of years we've grown alfalfa where we intend to plant the vines. Unfortunately, alfalfa has a ridiculously invasive and deep seeded root system so we had to till deep to uproot it. Using our trusty Kabota to do the job [it was a huffing], my dad tilled the field row by row. This past weekend he used the disc to spread the uproot-age around. He also moved the empty propane tank. Our vines will now be arriving on May 11th.
::Oh, how we long for the day when that is a paved veranda with bistro tables overlooking the established vineyard, glass of handmade red wine in hand::
